I was looking over my dad's shoulder today. He was writing his blog, which was about health stuff. Bor-ing. He wrote a long post about why his hand hurt and how fish oils helped him recover. We aee so different somethimes.

Seahorses

Has anyone read the Percy Jackson series? If you have, remember the hippocampi that always ask for help? Hippocampus is the latin name for seahorse. I guess the hippocampi are a good name becuase they are "sea horses".

Hammy the Hamster

I was looking around YouTube and found this short movie. There was a fat hamster who chose organic foods over conventional food. I thought it was pretty cool.

The (Northern) Mockingbird

The mockingbird is the state bird of Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. It is a medium-sized bird (adults are a little above 10 inches) with gray feathers and a white belly. They are called mockingbirds because they can mimic other birds songs' or even ring tones.

Listen up, dads!

Emu's and seahorses are special. The males take care of the young instead of the females! A female emu will just lay 7-12 green eggs and then leave the male to incubate them. After the eggs hatch, the male will care for the chicks until they are large enough to fend for themselves.
A male seahorse will store the eggs in his brood pouch, and then release the "fry"(baby seahorses) after 2-4 weeks.
